Gods Must Be Aliens: Lounging Peacefully in Space, While We Men are at War
This started over a tea time chat with a friend. One thing lead to another and we were soon comparing Gods and who is the supreme one! As strange as it may sound, but according to The encyclopedia of Gods, there are over 2,500 identified deities and gods in the world. Many of them apparently live in the Himalayas, some in heaven, some in Olympus, and the rest scattered across the milky way. While the argument with my friend did end pleasantly given his sincere belief that his religion was the purest, it got me thinking.
Gods’ have their super powers; they could fly, bring back the dead, had halos, had armies of winged creatures, they could travel time, they understood the planets well – net, they knew and did all things humanly impossible. We have always been told to pray looking at the sky and to believe in the existence of heaven and hell. If we were to believe it and it God truly lives in heaven, it’s definitely not a place on earth. So it’s a place somewhere in the galaxy, a place they assumed to. They even had chariots with wings that could take bring them to earth. Given the number of people who have climbed across the Himalayas and the flights that go over them, we would have surely seen them if heaven was somewhere hidden in between its peaks.
Also, with each religion being so different, these 2500 Gods are bound to have their differences. So it’s highly possible that there are multiple heavens, one each for each god. While it sounds naive & childish, it’s a possibility. As good leaders, these God’s must be leading the armies at war and not relax in their own heavens. How about a gods championship with Jesus vs Allah, Krishna vs Buddha, Olympus vs rest of the gods? Thankfully, they are not Gods for no reason! They have found a way to live in peace without interfering with each others business.
Unfortunately, they don’t seem to be keen on sorting things out for humans. They should at least share some tips to the men who call them with closed eyes and those have the power to hear His voice? While we humans are busy making fools of ourselves, they are probably happy sitting up there watching us men entertain them.
Ps: This an edited version of the earlier blog that was posted many years back.
Hmm…these gods must be crazy!!!

Hey! Your post is really interesting The talk regarding God(s) is a tough one as everybody has a different opinion over it. Most of the riots have religion or you can say God(s) and their beliefs as a root cause. But didn’t you ask your friend that even if there are many Gods, what is the difference in their teachings?
